Abundant Gum Tree Blossoms. Seldom have I seen these trees flower so abundantly as this year! The Rainbow Lorikeets and other birds are feasting on the nectar. These are the white blossoms of the Gum Tree or Eucalyptus Tree. And many flower buds are visible in this image, so more flowers to come! After pollination the flowers develop into woody fruits, better known as 'Gum Nuts'. Over 800 species of Gum Trees dominate much of the Australian landscape. Taken in south-east Queensland, Australia.
