Description
The Brown Cuckoo-Dove is a large rusty brown pigeon that lives in forests and rainforests in eastern Australia. This Pigeon has a very long tail and is known by some as Pheasant-tailed Pigeon. Do not confuse it with the Pheasant Pigeon that lives in New Guinea!
The eye stands out with its blue-grey colour and the red eye-ring. The birds feed on fruit, berries and seeds in the trees. Taken in south-east Queensland.
