A different spot, a different scenery.... equally beautiful! Crossing Mimosa Creek during a hike in Blackdown Tablelands National Park, Queensland, Australia.
This stunning National Park is a bit off the beaten track but definitely worth a visit! The Tablelands rise up quite abruptly in an environment of dry plains. Because of it’s ecological isolation, the park is home to some unique flora and fauna. The Tablelands are a part of Central Queensland’s Sandstone Belt. The park is the traditional home of the Ghungalu people.

This is a great photo of an iconic Australian bush scene. I had previously never heard of the Blackdown Tablelands. What an amazing place! I am currently learning so much about my own country from this amazing, intrepid modern day Dutch explorer!! Please keep inspiring me, Maryse!
