Description
Crossing Mimosa Creek during a hike in Blackdown Tablelands National Park, Queensland, Australia.
This stunning National Park is a bit off the beaten track but definitely worth a visit! The Tablelands rise up quite abruptly in an environment of dry plains. Because of it’s ecological isolation, the park is home to some unique flora and fauna. The Tablelands are a part of Central Queensland’s Sandstone Belt. The park is the traditional home of the Ghungalu people.
Second Place in the contest: AUSTRALIAN CREEKS AND BILLABONGS - THE BEST OF DOWN UNDER! January 2021
Third Place in the contest AUSTRALIAN RIVERS AND STREAMS - Australia in Pictures Group - October 2022
