Description
Curious Tawny Frogmouth chick, taken in South East Queensland, Australia.
Tawny Frogmouths look a lot like owls, but they're not! They are more closely related to Night Jars. They are champions of camouflage, very hard to spot when they try to mimic a tree branch. In 2019, Australian readers of The Guardian online voted it as the second most popular bird in the Australian Bird of the Year poll!
