Description
Close up of Dogwood flowers. Dogwood is a tall shrub or a small tree, with pendulous branches and no real leaves (except in young plants). It flowers abundantly in spring with masses of yellow pea flowers. It looks a bit like a fountain or a shower of yellow flowers coming of those hanging branches. It’s a splendid display in the Australian bush!
The common name of Dogwood is said to refer to the smell from the burnt wood.
