Gum Trees emerging from early morning fog make for a nice scenery when you crawl out of your tent after a good night's sleep in the Aussie Bush. Gum Trees are iconic to the Australian landscape and there are over 900 different species! Most of these (over 700) are Eucalyptus species and native to Australia. They are famous for their Eucalyptus oil which can be used for cleaning, as an antiseptic, as an insect repellant and to decongest the airways when you have a cold. And of course they are the home of Australia's other icon: the koala. Taken in Jimna State Forest, Queensland, Australia.
