Little Black Cormorants Drying Their Wings. Five Little Black Cormorants resting after a swim and hunt for fish, spreading their wings wide to dry. They perch on rocks in the water. They may also go on rocks or tree branches near the water, but they will always stay close.. The birds are black and surrounded by shades of brown of the water and the rocks.
Have you noticed the turtle in the background? It's a Brisbane River Turtle, also known as the Brisbane Short-necked Turtle!
Little Black Cormorants are a small black Cormorant and prefer be found in fresh-water environments. They inhabit large parts of Australia and New Zealand as well as parts of Asia and some Pacific Islands. Taken in south-east Queensland, Australia.
