Description
Front side of the caterpillar of the Common Crow, a common butterfly in large areas of Australia, showing the interesting black and white patterns on the head. The caterpillars are brightly orange coloured with white spots on the side, black tentacles, a black and white head and black feet. They feed on plants with milky sap, such as Oleander and Fig Trees. This one is munching on the leaf of a Fig Tree. The butterflies have dark brown wings with white spots. Taken in south east Queensland, Australia.
