New Beginning is a beautiful perspective on Native Willow. The image shows the sepals of the flower that is no longer there as well as the flower that is yet to be: the flower bud. The red colour is mixed with green all the way through this plant with the stem and the sepals being more red and the leaves being more green. The actual flowers are yellow and have 4 petals. Native Willow grows in wet places. It is very similar to Long-leaved willow primrose (Ludwigia longifolia), Peruvian water primrose (Ludwigia peruviana) and also water primrose (Ludwigia peploides subsp. montevidensis) but they can be distinguished by hairyness, shape of leaves and other features.
