Description
A closer up shot of the Pale-headed Rosella taking a bite from the fruit that it found while perched in the vegetation. Rosellas are colourful parrots. The Pale-headed Rosella is blue with a yellow head and white cheeks. The yellow back and blue wings also have black flecks which create a beautiful pattern. It has a distinct red colour under the tail. This parrot is usually noisy, except when feeding. It lives in open woodlands in Eastern Australia.

Alana Thrower
Beautiful capture of this beautiful Rosella! Do you ever see Mallee Ringnecks or Bourkes? l/f/t
Maryse Jansen replied:
Thank you Alana. I don't see those around here in SEQ. I did take an image of a Mallee Ringneck during a roadtrip. You can find it in my collection of Australian Parrots!
