Description
Rufous Whistler male perched in the thickets, singing his loud whistling song. The Rufous Whistler male is easy to recognize by its rufous coloured belly, white throat, black chest and cheeks and a grey head and back. It is also easlly recognized by its song! Rufous Whistlers mainly eats insects, but will also take seeds, leaves and fruit.
They are found throughout mainland Australia and prefer to hang out in woodland and shrubland, with a shrubby understorey. Taken in south-east Queensland, Australia.
