Description
The Scaly-breasted Lorikeet is less known then the Rainbow Lorikeet which is of Australia’s most popular and well known birds! The Scaly-breasted Lorikeet is smaller and less colourful, but still quite stunning with their bright green feathers, yellow markings and red beak. This bird often flocks with the Rainbow Lorikeet but has a smaller range, limited to eastern Australia. They are common in all forest, heath and woodlands, always in search of blossoming trees to feast on the nectar. Taken is south-east Queensland, Australia.
