Description
Silvereyes bathing. Silvereyes are small birds in the group of white-eyes. They have a grey back, an olive-green head and wings and a prominent ring of white feathers around their eyes. Silvereyes can be found in eastern and southern Australia in any type of woodland. They feed on insects, fruit and nectar. This group of Silvereyes is bathing in the rainwater puddles, alongside some Red-browed Finches, of which you can see two in the back row (top left corner of the image).Take special notice of the bird in the centre of the image with its wet feathers, it looks so adorable! This image was taken in south-east Queensland.
