Description
The Eastern Sedgefrog is a tiny little frog (2.5-3.0 cm) but look closely and you'll see how beautiful it is. It's back is green and has a bronze patch on the middle. A distinctive white stripe marks the area from below the eye to the shoulder, flanked by narrower darker stripes. There's also a dark stripe from the nostril through the eye. It's belly is white and the back of the thighs is orange. So, a very colourful little frog!
They can be seen in suburban gardens, parks and forests in large parts of Eastern Australia, but you'd have to look closely to find them!
Taken in South East Queensland, Australia.
