This Tree Mummy?
Inquisitive young koala riding on mummy's back. Koalas spend very little time on the ground as it's too dangerous for them. They only quickly move to the next tree and climb back up to safety. Will this be the tree of mummy's choice?
A koala young is called a joey (this also applies to the young of other marsupials). For the first 6 months koala joeys live in their mother's pouch, They gradually start emerging until at 8 or 9 months they are too big to go back in. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today and in the...
