Description
This stunning turquoise coloured waterhole can be found in Cardwell State Forest, in Queensland, Australia. The waterhole belongs to Lower Attie Creek where the water cascades down over the rocks. The water has a very special and beautiful colour in this area which is caused by a combination of natural processes. It has to do with the phytoplankton and the minerals in the water and also with the way the light falls on it.
