Description
Landscape of the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland, Australia. Also known as the Cairns Highlands, the plateau has an altitude of 600-1100m and is considerably cooler and less humid then the tropical coastal areas. Originating from volcanic activity, it’s a very fertile place so good for farming. The grass looks so fresh green, and the patches of rainforest that still stand here are incredibly lush! In the background you see the typical low-hanging clouds sticking to the mountains, even on a clear day like this.
