Artist's Description

Young Koala exploring. Koala Joeys wean off their mothers when they are a year old, but there is still a lot to learn about life. This one looks very young still and was curiously exploring its surroundings, nibbling on a leaf every now and then. Koalas are very picky eaters, they only eat certain types of Eucalyptus - or Gum Trees' leaves. They can be found in open woodlands in coastal areas of eastern and southern Australia. Taken in south east Queensland, Australia.
