Noisy Miner
The Noisy Miner belongs to the family of honeyeaters. The bird is mostly grey, has a black head and a yellow beak and legs and bare yellow skin around the eye, which gives it its characteristic look. The Noisy Miner has a feisty character and defends its territory aggressively against intruders and predators. The birds feed on nectar as well as insects and fruits. The bird in the image is upside down as it's picking ants of the leaves and branches of this bush.
These birds are native to eastern and south-eastern Australian open forests and woodlands, and are also a common sight in parks and backyards. Taken in south east Queensland, Australia.
