Description
Grevillea Flower with Paper Wasp. Beautiful orange-yellow Grevillea flower. Grevillea’s are a popular native Australian flower. There are over 340 varieties and come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. This one is a shrub. The nectar attracts birds and insects. The leaves are very long and thin and evergreen.
The insect on the flower is one of Australia's native paper wasps. These insects chew on dead plant matter and mix it with their salive to build their nests.
Taken in south-east Queensland, Australia.
