Description
Bottle Brush or Callistemon is well known for its bottle-brush shaped spiked flowers. These crimson-red beauties are from the Weeping Bottle Brush, a tree that grows up to 10m tall. It is native to Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. It flowers mainly in spring and summer but potentially also at other times during the year. The flowers consist of a collection of red stamen. They produce lots of nectar which is popular with birds and insects.
Taken in south east Queensland, Australia.
